Privacy policy
Last updated October 10, 2026
Maxx is a private home-automation system operated by Justin Scott for his household. This policy covers the information Maxx keeps about the people who use it, including those who sign up for its text-message alerts.
What is collected
- Your name and email address, so you can sign in to the portal.
- Your mobile number and which alerts you chose, if you turn text alerts on.
- Records of which alerts were sent and when, so the same alert is not sent twice.
How it is used
Your mobile number is used only to send you the alerts you selected, such as a drop in the price of a cruise add-on you have bought or are watching. Maxx sends no marketing or promotional messages.
Sharing
No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties. Messages are delivered through Amazon Web Services, which processes your number only to deliver them.
Keeping and deleting it
Your number is kept while text alerts are on for you. Turn them off in the portal, or reply STOP to any message, and no further texts are sent. To have your number and alert history deleted, email Justin@Scott.org.
